The challenge rewards those that have best embodied the “region’s spirit of entrepreneurship”, and has seen thousands whittled down to the last two standing for being the very best in business that the North East has to offer. 3 Fantastic Training Days For Over 140 Professionals

In Partnership with Well Handled Ltd, Lynch Healthcare ran a fully certified training course. The event was a huge success and covered topics such as :, Sit to stand, Sling Assessment, Bed Mobility, Ceiling Track Surveys, Mobility Awareness and Choosing a Shower Chair. Some fantastic feedback from the delegates included “this was certainly the best free training i have ever attended, well done lynch” “Having certificated training delivered at such a high standard…and free is fantastic” “Much better in depth learning than other equipment familiarity days, very useful” All in all a fantastic event, we have already had people enquiring about the next one!..well done all

Tom Dunbar has joined the team as Business Development Manager. Tom will work closely with David One and will be given a dedicated area of the North East to help grow the business. The article published in the Sunderland Echo titled “Giving region a healthy outlook” went on to read - “Our Entrepreneur of the year award honours those inspirational figures without whose resourcefulness and drive the North East economy would be in a sorry state. This year there was one clear winner, a man whose vision and drive have this year seen him start two new business. It was the second time of asking for David Lynch, who was nominated in 2007. He set up his first company North Eastern Care Ltd, from scratch five years ago, using his previous expertise in providing moving, handling and bathing solutions for healthcare professionals, and it now employs six staff. His new business, Lynch Healthcare was launched in April and has already won a number of contracts with local authorities and NHS trusts. David has brought in a new partner David Giles and the firm are in negotiation to buy out another firm working in the same sector. August saw David launch his second hibusiness consultancy practice three sixty square, which helps firms – mainly in the healthcare sector – to develop and improve their business in the key areas of operation, marketing and finance. Our judges were fulsome in their praise of a businessman who is always looking for ways to improve and expand. ” the entrepreneurial spirit of our winner was obvious for all to see,”they said. His ability to take every opportunity which came his way and to have the vision to develop opportunities within his marketplace was extremely impressive. “with a number of exciting future plans in the offing, this is a company which is undoubtedly going places thanks to the enthusiasm, skill an abilities of the person at the top.” David flew in from a business trip to Germany and then drove up from Manchester Airport in order to collect his trophy. He admitted he had been taken by suprise to hear his name read out. “Im overwhelmed – its fantastic” he said. “I am very, very pleased – this has capped off a fantastic year.”
